NAM News
Dear NAM Parents,
Today, we celebrated our first group of reading all-stars! Our school goal is to read 10 minutes every day. We are not even a month into the school year, and we already have several kindergarten through grade 2 students being recognized, as well as four students for making it into the 100 points club: Isaac Doty (7), Gus Doty (4), Daniel Johnson (8), and Izzy Pfeifer(8).
Next, we are excited to take on this year’s Pumpkin Run! Mr. Fehringer, Mr. Vance, and I will run in the annual event on Sunday, September 27, and we invite all NAM students to join us. Sign up by September 15 to get a T-shirt!
Calendar update: School Picture Retake Day & 4-year-old Part Day Preschool Picture Day is October 14 - not September 14.
God Bless,
-Ms. Fairbanks

...Dear NAM Parents,
First, I’d like to say thank you for your help in ensuring that our car line flows safely and smoothly. I had the opportunity to observe the car line in real time this morning while standing near the crosswalk on Isaac, in front of NW Fairway. When every parent follows the designated traffic pattern, we are able to keep our students safe. Thank you again for following the route and for using the crosswalks when walking your child(ren) to the building from the parking lot.
Last Friday, we held our first Sweatpants for a Cause, and together we raised nearly $200! We are excited to continue supporting Mater Filius throughout the school year. As a school, we have set a goal of raising $1,000, and we are already off to a great start.
Next week, we will have our first home volleyball game! We encourage all of our families to come out and support our Mustangs. As a reminder, we ask that students in fourth grade and below be accompanied by an
...Dear NAM Parents,
We are two weeks into the school year, and things are going great! Students, teachers, and staff are excited to be back in the classrooms, learning, growing, and glowing for God!
Next week, our students will begin earning Virtue Vouchers, a form of positive praise that adults in our building hand out when they catch students doing good- living a virtuous life. Throughout September, students will drop their vouchers into a box for a chance to win cool prizes in our monthly raffle. Additionally, at the end of each month, teachers and paras will select one student who has consistently and outstandingly embodied the virtue of the month. These recognized students go above and beyond, serving as powerful examples of character for their peers. To further build our community and student leaders, students will also begin meeting with their grade buddies (PK & 7, K & 8, 1 & 4, 2 & 5, 3 & 6) next week. During this time, they will play
...Dear North American Martyrs Families,
I pray that your first week back to school went well. As we transition into the new year, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Your child's teacher, Mrs. Guenther, and I are here to help. To streamline communication, we kindly ask that your child's teacher remain your first point of contact. If a matter involves Mrs. Guenther or me, always feel free to include us in the communication.
A huge shoutout to our PTO for sponsoring our first family event of the year, the Ice Cream Social in the courtyard during Open House! We are so grateful for the support of our PTO and parents, who truly make Martyrs a special, one-of-a-kind school.
Tomorrow after Mass, grades K through 8 will practice our annual evacuation drill, which includes walking to Fredstrom,
...Dear North American Martyrs Families,
School starts in less than one week, and we are so excited to welcome our students back! Yesterday, we officially welcomed our amazing teachers and staff back to the building. They have been busy these last couple of weeks preparing their classrooms and planning for your child's arrival. A huge shoutout to our amazing maintenance, custodial, carpet cleaning, and volunteer team- our building is squeaky clean! As much as we all enjoy the slower pace of summer, there is something so wonderful about getting back into the normalcy of our school routine.

We highly encourage all of our families to attend the Open House on Monday, August 17 at 5:30 pm. This is a beautiful time to gather as a community, kick off the new school year, stop by your child's classroom,
