Dear NAM Parents,

We have a few NAM happenings next week. We will kick off the week with North American Martyrs Feast Day! All students will get a donut in celebration of the feast day- YUM- and have a classroom party! We will also kick off our annual Acts of Kindness fundraiser; read more about Raise Craze below. The first quarter will end on Thursday, October 22. Please note that if your child has missed five or more days or has been tardy seven or more times, you will (or may have already) receive an automatic attendance/tardy summary via email. We understand that absences happen. This notification is intended to keep you updated and maintain open communication between home and school. On Friday, October 23, we will host a pop-up Letters of Love event after school. And the fun continues. On Sunday, October 25, join us at NAM for our annual Trunk or Treat from 4- 6 p.m. Click here to sign up for a trunk!

God Bless,

-Ms. Fairbanks

Raise Craze Information:

On Monday, October 19, North American Martyrs Feast Day, we will kick off our annual PTO fundraiser. Last year, we completed a total of 1,244 Acts of Kindness and raised $36,760.00. This year, our goal is to complete 2,000 Acts of Kindness and raise $40,000.00. We are excited to let our light shine and help others in the process!

To help us spread kindness, the UNL Letters of Love chapter will be hosting a pop-up event at NAM for our students to get involved! Letters of Love is an organization dedicated to providing emotional support to children battling serious illnesses. Through the simple, heartfelt act of making handwritten cards, this initiative aims to build a community of love, hope, and kindness- one card at a time! Students must be registered to attend: Letters of Love | After-school Event on Friday, October 23, from 3:15 to 4:30 pm – Click here to register!

North American Martyrs faculty, staff, and students are incredibly blessed to be supported by a wonderful Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTO's mission is to enhance your child's overall educational experience by funding all the "extras" that make our school so special.

While not an all-inclusive list, PTO funds directly support: the Open House ice cream social, grounds crew needs and their appreciation dinner, fall and spring parent-teacher conference meals, Trunk or Treat, the staff Christmas party, Christmas and Spring showcase receptions, Mayfair, teacher appreciation week and Christmas bonuses, First Communion and Confirmation receptions and retreats, the 8th-grade retreat, graduation, and the 8th-grade party. It also supports home volleyball and boys and girls basketball concessions, theater productions, guest speakers such as Heart of a Child Ministries, STEM days, student snacks for standardized testing week, and activities and miscellaneous needs during Catholic Schools Week.

Thank you in advance for your incredible support, generosity, and prayers as we begin this exciting fundraiser. Together, we can help our students put their faith into action, spread kindness, live virtuously and shine brightly!
